Royal Holly Cares Foundation was organized with our local community in mind for “Meeting Needs, Building Hope”. Each day we are introduced to families within our community that are struggling on a day to day basis who could benefit from someone who is willing to help. With multiple families and individuals looking for support, RHCF is able to reach out in many ways. RHCF members create a box with personalized bibles for each family member that receives help from the foundation. For many of the families, these personalized bibles are the first bible they have ever owned. The financial donations and contributions to RHCF are being put to work each day as Christ allows us to minister to those in need.
Zuniga Family
In April, Ms. Zuniga was facing tough times and struggling to make ends meet. Royal Holly Cares stepped in to help with a rent payment and followed up with personalized bibles for the family. RHCF also provided a care package for a member of the Zuniga family that was serving in the Armed Forces in Japan.
Clague Family
In November, Mrs. Clague was headed to work as her car broke down and pulled into the parking lot of the Royal Holly Cares Foundation office. Days later we noticed the vehicle was still in the parking lot with a note from the owners stating they were needing time to order parts and repair the car themselves. After another week of no change, RHCF called and offered to help the family with repairing the vehicle. She had mentioned they were struggling due to the fact that she had lost her job because of a lack of transportation, as well as, her disabled husband was in the midst of multiple surgeries and needed caring for. With another bump in the road and added stress of how to get her vehicle fixed to continue working, RHCF was able to step in and take care of the repairs and get this family back on their feet. The family of 5 were given personalized bibles as part of RHCFs ministry efforts.
Within days, Mrs. Clague had called to notify RHCF that she was able to apply for several new positions and had scheduled multiple interviews with hopes she would find a new job and get her family back on track. With a word of gratitude and thanks from the Clagues, RHCF was able to help this family in a tangible way that directly impacted their lives on a day to day basis by showing God’s grace and love to those in need.
Brawner Family
In November, Royal Holly Cares assisted in financing the dental care for a young lady in the Brawner Family. A personalized bible was provided for the young lady as well.
Real Men Outfitters Clay Shoot

Royal Holly Cares Foundation was able to join forces with Real Men Outfitters – a local non-profit organization that gives back by reaching out and mentoring young men with a Christian based atmosphere. RHCF was able to help RMO raise over $20,000 in donations and awareness about the foundation through co-sponsoring a Sporting Clay Shotgun Shoot on August 18, 2018 with hopes that connecting with another local charity can bring the blessings of RHCF to other families. Due to the background of most children and young men who go through the RMO program on a weekly and monthly basis, their at home needs or physical needs can be met by the charity work that RHCF provides.
The Sporting Clay Shoot was compiled of 22 four person teams that competed for top shot, junior top shot, and entered for drawings, door prizes, and raffle prizes. Each team competed in the 10 station tournament at 6S Ranch in Lindale, TX. With plenty of laughter, sportsmanship, and help from many volunteers, the tournament was well put together and had a long list of prizes were won. A local company in the Tyler area who is a contributor and volunteer of Royal Holly Cares Foundation won second place.
The tournament was finished by allowing RHCF President Greg Wood to give a small testimony of the work that has already been done in the 2017-2018 year and offered opportunities for families and individuals to contact the foundation if they knew someone was in need. With a continued relationship for years to come, Real Men Outfitters and Royal Holly Cares Foundation will work closely with each other in the local community to extend their organization to those who can receive a blessing from volunteers and members willing to help.

Shortly after the inaugural Royal Holly Cares Foundation (RHCF) Golf Tournament in April, RHCF was made aware of a local man, Ryan Bockover, who was struggling with a chronic kidney disease called focal segmental glomerulosclerosis (FSGS). FSGS is a progressive kidney disease that does not have a cure or a known cause, and ultimately results in the need for dialysis and possibly a transplant. Unfortunately for Ryan, he only had one functioning kidney, which was being attacked by this disease and accelerated the progression and treatment options. After several tests, Ryan was told that a transplant was his only option and he was placed on the National Organ Registry.
By divine appointment, Emily Phillips, a close family friend, offered to get tested to see if she was a donor match, and the results revealed that she was almost a perfect match. God left no doubt in her mind that this was her opportunity to give a gift, equally as precious as that which she received earlier in life. Emily made a promise to God that if He would work in that particular situation, she would forever be grateful and find a way to pay it forward.
RHCF was honored to financially and spiritually assist both the Bockovers and the Phillips during the transplant and recovery of this miraculous, life changing event for two these families.

East Texas man receives new kidney from close friend

TYLER, TX (KLTV) – A month ago, we brought you the story of a Tyler school raising money for a student’s father who was preparing for kidney transplant surgery.
Well this week Ryan Bockover and his donor Emily Phillips traveled to Dallas where their lives would change forever.
“None of this would’ve been possible without God, because He put Emily and her family in our path for this reason,” Ryan’s wife Somer Bockover said. After 6 years of kidney problems, Ryan Bockover has a new kidney, but most importantly a healthy one. All with the help of his close friend Emily Phillips. “Out of anyone I could give a kidney to, I couldn’t have picked a better family to help,” donor Emily Phillips said.After a four-hour surgery Tuesday morning, Bockover says his new kidney started working immediately but emotions were still running high. “Terrified, happy, sad, elated, because he was getting this gift that was going to save his life, from a friend that didn’t have to do anything,” Somer Bockover said.
But for Ryan, his new kidney is an adjustment.
“Feels a little different, whenever I stand I can feel it moving around and trying to adjust into place,” Ryan Bockover said.
Ryan says he is recovering well, but Emily says she will never stop worrying.
“It’s still a roller coaster for me because every day I’m like ‘is it still okay, is it still okay?'” Phillips said.
But one thing they don’t have to worry about is their children in Whitehouse.
While they both recover in Dallas their fellow Cub Scouts members from den 359 and their families are lending a helping hand by caring for their children.
“I think this is a great representation of what the cub scout program is all about and what it means to us and other families,” Cub Scout mom Joanne Murski said.Emily and the Bockover’s say they never expected to gain an extended family through Cub Scouts.
“There are families that we never really knew really well that are like, ‘what can we do, what can we do, what can we do, we want to do something, we want to help,” Ryan Bockover said.
But no one will ever compare to the Bockover-Phillip family dynamic.
“Our families have grown tremendously, our family grew by eight and theirs grew by four,” Ryan Bockover said.
The children are now even calling each other cousins.
“There’s not a word to describe their relationship other than, their family,” Somer Bockover said.
Emily and the Bockovers will remain in Dallas for the next month recovering and making sure everything is working properly.

2018 Annual Golf Tournament
On April 2, The Cascades Golf Club hosted the Inaugural Royal Holly Cares Foundation Golf Tournament. The results were 32 teams and 128 players along with dozens of volunteers to help run a first class event in order to help raise necessary funds for the future of helping local families and individuals. The conditions were great as RHCF was able to raise over $50,000 which was drawn in by raffles, door prizes, and giveaways throughout the event. With plenty of great shots to be attested along with low scores, there were many cheers and high fives given as each participant enjoyed their time throughout the day.
With a successful tournament in the books, RHCF was able to start the 2018 year off with great expectations by raising hope and meeting needs due to the hard efforts of those who were able to give of their time, relationships, and effort. With each dollar received from
donations going directly back into the local community, each family and individual will be reached and impacted greatly as RHCF offers both personal, emotional, financial, and physical help to those in need. The annual golf tournament is one of the blood lines to raising enough capital each year through donations which allows RHCF to function when someone in need is called for.
As a summary of the event includes both great stories of individuals sharing their testimonies of faith and service, RHCF opened their doors to possible volunteers who were amongst the participants of the tournament. Several of the individuals and families RHCF has helped throughout the remainder of 2018 came from someone who learned about the foundation at the tournament. Along with opportunities and communication, RHCF leans on their partnership with the vast number of donations to be able to provide for their local community.

Wrap It Up 2018
2018 Wrap It Up
Royal Holly Cares Foundation partnered with New Covenant Church and Pastor Sam Fisher to provide numerous families in East Texas with Christmas Gifts for their families. Volunteers gathered in December of 2017 to purchase and assist in wrapping presents for the families.
The 2018 Wrap It up is scheduled for 12/19/18 at New Covenant Church starting around 6:00 pm. Please let us know if you are interested in participating in this heart touching event.
